Lawyer Fees & Fee Management

While many firms charge a non refundable retainer (up front payment) solely to obtain the services of the firm, and then charge hourly additional fees after said initial payment, Castle & Monarch does not. At Castle & Monarch we estimate the amount of attorney hours and costs necessary considering the issues of your case. We quote a reasonable retainer accordingly. Any unused portion of our retainer at Castle & Monarch is fully refundable.

While it is often difficult to decipher the billing statements of other firms, ours are simple to read and understand, and we bill and account for our attorney time to .10 of an hour. Just as important as setting an appropriate retainer for our clients, we do our best to manage the fees of the opposing counsel, as well.

At Castle & Monarch we feel that it is our responsibility to outline and determine any issues in contention up front and to focus on immediate resolution or setting the matter for decision by the court.

We encourage our clients to comply with all discovery requests (requests of the other party to provide them with relevant documents), to avoid cumulative requests or motions being made by opposing counsel, all of which run up fees.

At Castle & Monarch we remain focused on the issues at all times, and we refuse to engage in delaying tactics or prolonging issues with advice to the client that is not in their best interest, emotionally and financially.
